Lockdown Lowdown
Locked down
In town
Big frown
Still scared of clowns!
Birds fly
In blue skies
Their sweet songs
Soothe our sighs
Gaia the Great
Mother Nature, if you will
Has lashed back
With a bitter pill
Tired of our
Abuse and neglect
She flexed her muscles
In a devastating move
We’ll never forget
But my friends
Too late for regret
Too late for purple skies
Falling doves or sad goodbyes
We must face the mess with courage
Which our greed has made
Lie on this bed
Of nails
Praying that destruction
Will be delayed
Long enough to start again
Yet soon enough
To make amends
